Treatment for Osteoporosis

This is a very common disease that is characterized by low bone mass and skeletal fragility, resulting in an increased risk of fractures to a person's bones.  Our staff will appropriately screen patients to identify certain treatment options for individuals who are at increased risk of sustaining low trauma fractures.

Epidurals

Epidural injections are administered to the patient in an effort to block the transmission of signals through nerves in or near the spinal cord. We provide a variety of epidural treatments such as caudal, cervical, lumbar and thoracic epidurals.

Laser Therapy

Deep tissue laser therapy helps decrease pain by releasing photons into the strained tissue, increasing blood flow to that specific area. This noninvasive, fast acting treatment only takes a few minutes to complete, and guarantees no discomfort to the patient.

NCV/EMG

Nerve Conduction Studies and Electromyography are tests that measure muscle and nerve functions on patients experiencing numbness, tingling and burning sensations. Administered consecutively, these tests can show how well your nerves and muscles work by applying mild electrical currents to the skin. The measured electrical activity allows the physician to properly diagnose your symptoms.

DME

Durable Medical Equipment is readily available for patients whose needs require equipment such as canes, walkers, braces, TENS units and more. DME can help individuals lead more normal lives without such a heavy reliance of assistance from family and caregivers.

Facet Injections

Facet injections help alleviate inflammation and diminish pain caused by an inflamed joint. Medication is directly injected into the swollen, irritated joint. We provide a variety of facet injections, including cervical facet, lumbar facet and thoracic facet injections.

Certified-High Complexity Lab

Ellis Pain Center’s on-site lab houses state-of-the-art technology. Through detailed urine drug screen analysis and comprehensive metabolic paneling, our physicians are able to use this technology to produce quick test results in order to provide their patients with a more thorough treatment plan. All lab tests are completed at Ellis Pain Center.
