Nerve blocks are similar to joint injections and the solutions that are injected into the body. The nerve blocks can be used in many forms to help treat and even diagnose a patient’s condition.
The three forms of nerve blocks are:

- Diagnostic: Locating the source of the pain and where it is stemming from
- Preventative: An alternative to having surgery
